Breathe Accounting Graduate Program

The Breathe Accounting Graduate Program gives you the opportunity to gain real-world experience, develop practical accounting skills and learn alongside an experienced team in our Bunbury office.

Our Graduate Accountant Program is designed for people who are ready to develop their accounting career, whether you are in your second or third year of university, a recent graduate, or someone bringing transferable qualifications, skills or relevant experience from a related field.

Through structured rotations across accounting, bookkeeping and administration, you’ll gain practical experience while working alongside people who will help you build on what you already know.

What You’ll Learn

Our Graduate Program will help you acquire the technical skills and professional confidence you need to become a successful Accountant. You’ll learn by supporting, shadowing and working alongside experienced colleagues, while contributing to real work for real clients.

As you rotate through accounting, bookkeeping and administration, you’ll gain hands-on experience and a holistic understanding of how the different areas of a business work together and contribute to the client experience.

You will start by building a strong foundation in bookkeeping, gaining practical experience across a range of bookkeeping and accounting processes. As your knowledge and confidence develop, you’ll have the opportunity to take on increasingly complex accounting responsibilities and grow into a broader accounting role.

Working with different clients, you’ll learn to understand the specificities, accounting standards and legislation of different industries to provide accurate and helpful guidance.

With the Breathe Accounting team around you throughout, you’ll benefit from their guidance and expertise to develop confidence as you grow.

At Breathe, the Graduate Program is designed around an Accounting Competency Framework that provides a clear pathway for progression, helping you develop the skills, confidence and relationships you’ll need to progress into an Accountant role.

With the support of our experienced team, you’ll gradually take on new challenges and greater responsibility as your skills develop. You’ll expand your technical capabilities while becoming more confident communicating with clients, understanding their businesses and developing trusted relationships with them.

As you progress, you’ll strengthen your problem-solving and decision-making skills, learn to manage priorities and make recommendations to the clients. You’ll take greater ownership of your work while knowing when to make a decision independently, when to ask questions and when to seek guidance.
